Dane Wycoff was raised in Los Angeles. His foray into writing began with poems celebrating women’s divinity, compassion, and universality. He later wrote several experiential essays that serve as pillars of his life story. He also self-published his wife’s memoir, which explores themes of race, gender, and cultural relevance. Although he completed only middle school, he went on to
graduate as valedictorian in his B.S. program and earned his MBA magna cum laude.

He currently resides in Lake Forest, California. A White Duck in a Black Pond is his first full-length book.
